Wally (Brian Cox) promised his best friend of 40 years burial–at–sea. The fact that he hasn’t got the body, a boat or any money, isn’ going to stop him keeping his word. However, his adversary, Froken Reimark (Hege Schøyen), administrator of the retirement community where Wally lives, has other plans for him and the deceased.

In 48 hours Wally must snatch the body, win the cash, find a boat, perform the burial and escape – but first, he needs a plan. However, Wally is a doer, not a planner.

When the serious Colonel Hansen (James Fox) is moved into Wally’s room, only the delightful May (Lauren Bacall) prevents outright war between them and charms the un-adventurous Colonel into using his military expertise to devise a plan.

Enlisting the help of his young, bohemian friend Nina (Ingrid Bolso Berdal) and windsurfing architect Ben (Kare Conradi), Wally sets out to achieve the plan’s objectives, which combines the almost impossible with the daringly comical.

As is all great comedies, anything that can go wrong does go wrong – and then some.
