Set in post-Apartheid South Africa, BEYOND THE RIVER, tells the true story of two men, separated by everything except their determination to win gold in one of the world’s toughest river races: the Dusi Canoe Marathon. One man yearns to escape the grinding poverty of township life, the other, a former champion canoe racer, struggles in the aftermath of tragedy. Only by pulling together they can triumph over adversity in this nail-biting and inspiring adventure.
